So we recently had our first camping experience as a family. We were fortunate to have Lori's parents in town to spend the time with as well. Our girls fully embraced the camping experience. They were dirty, wet, cold, tired and hungry all at the same time. Isn't that what camping is all about? We camped near Mt. Rainer, and not too far from Mt. St. Helens. We attempted to see both mountains, but were blocked by clouds. We got to see how scary the roads are that get you to the top of those moutains. There are some really big treess up there. The big one that the girls are in front of is somewhere around 650 years old. The plaque said so.
